David Stout

David is thrilled to be part of Dynamic Kids students’ educational journey. Educators have a unique opportunity to impact the lives of future leaders, and David is thankful for the opportunity to support not only students but also teachers and admin team members at Dynamic Language Centre.

Having moved to Penang in 2019, David and his family enjoy living in a place with such vibrant culture, scenic natural beauty, and delicious foods as Malaysia has to offer. Outside the language centre, David enjoys hiking, biking, sports, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Jen has been part of the Dynamic Kids team for over three years, teaching Foundations 1 and 2 with creativity and enthusiasm. With a degree in General Education and nearly a decade of teaching experience, she believes young children learn best through play, exploration, and experiences that build curiosity and confidence. Now based in Penang, Jen enjoys discovering local culture and cuisine, and the positive environment around her helps her stay grounded, which she brings into her supportive and inspiring teaching.

Teacher Melinda

With almost 30 years of teaching experience, Melinda really loves teaching at Dynamic Kids! Melinda has taught English in several special needs schools, and a vocational technical High School in the United States. She holds a B.A in Speech Theatre Dance, and a Post Baccalaureate degree in English, as well as teaching certificates in Teacher of the Handicapped, and Teacher of English. She also earned her TEFL Certificate through Love TEFL/Gateway. Melinda has been with Dynamic Kids since 2022.

Teacher James

James chose teaching as a second career because he wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of children. He chose SE Asia as the place to do it. After teaching for ten years in Cambodia and Vietnam, James came to Penang, Malaysia in 2022 to share his knowledge and experience at Dynamic. He loves swimming, traveling, music and team sports.

Growing up in a multiethnic family, Liz was immersed in a mix of different languages. Naturally, she believes language is the bridge that connects people.

After completing a BA in Creative and Professional Writing from the University of South Wales, Liz spent several years traveling the world as a scuba diving instructor. In 2019, she obtained her TEFL certification and began teaching English in Borneo.

Liz is grateful to be teaching at Dynamic Language Centre, helping students find confidence and meaning in learning English. Outside the classroom, Liz creates art, spends time with friends and family, and experiments with baking.

Teacher Kevin

Kevin is an educator from California who was thrilled to relocate to the wonderful island of Penang. Formerly a history teacher with a master’s degree in education, Kevin is now teaching English to Penang’s best, brightest, and sometimes talkative kids.

He is passionate about teaching and loves helping kids be the best versions of themselves and to see their growth and improvement. Kevin also enjoys gaming, reading, basketball, trivia, and cooking. His favorite activity is making his students laugh, but making them cringe is a close second.

For more than 15 years, Angela has taught in China and Malaysia, continuously refining her practice and exploring innovative ways to make learning meaningful. She loves sharing her passion for the English language and the rich cultural treasures found across the English-speaking world. Angela values the connections she forms with students and believes that every lesson is a shared experience — an opportunity for mutual learning and growth.

Laura enjoys teaching at Dynamic Kids and seeing students grow in confidence and independence in their English skills. She graduated with a degree in TESOL Education in Indiana, USA, then moved to Taiwan for a year to teach English. She returned to the US where she taught English in a public elementary school in Indiana for 10 years. Working with children brings her lots of joy, so she is thrilled to have the opportunity to do so while living in beautiful Penang! When not teaching, Laura enjoys hiking, exploring new places, and relaxing with a good book.

Teacher Ness

As a teacher of languages in the UK and abroad, Ness is really happy to be part of the community at Dynamic. Having initially studied German and Czech language at the University of Oxford, Ness understands the difficulties of learning a foreign language and brings a wealth of experience teaching children of all ages to the classroom. She appreciates the value of learning a foreign language, not only for communication but our understanding of the world and tolerance towards others.

Ness homeschools her three children, and at home as well as in the classroom really enjoys seeing children progress and enjoy their learning. 

She enjoys climbing, running and keeping fit, as well as lots of reading!
